Bhagavad Gita or Gitopanisad is one of the most important Upanishad. Bhagavad Gita is the philosophy of life narrated and explained by Lord Krsna to his devotee and friend Arjuna.

sri-bhagavan uvaca
prajahati yada kaman
sarvan partha mano-gatan
atmany evatmana tustah
sthita-prajnas tadocyate
Bhagaban said: O Partha, when a man turns his face from all varieties of sense desire which arise from the mental mixture, and when his mind starts finding satisfaction in the self alone, then he is said to be in genuine consciousness.
Artificially, sense desires cannot be stopped. A perfect Krsna consciousness person gets rid of all desire instantly without doing anything else. Therefore, a person who engaged himself in Krsna consciousness without hesitation, with all his devotion will instantly help him on to the platform of pure consciousness. Such an unearthly situated person cannot have any desires resulting from petty possessiveness. He remains always happy about himself being a servant of the Supreme Lord.

duhkhesv anudvigna-manah
sukhesu vigata-sprhah
vita-raga-bhaya-krodhah
sthita-dhir munir ucyate
Attachment, fear, and anger are the three miseries. A person who does remain steady at the time of joy and also at the time of three miseries known as a sage.
Muni is a person who can maneuver his mind without coming into any conclusion. Each muni belongs to a different school of thought from the other and that’s why they called a muni. A muni thinks all miseries are a gift of the Lord and all joy is also a gift of the Lord. He thinks due only to the Lord’s grace that he is in such a comfortable condition and able to render better service to the Lord.. A Krsna conscious person has neither attachment nor detachment because his life dedicated to the service of the Lord. A Krsna-conscious person ever focused in his resolve.

yah sarvatranabhisnehas
tat tat prapya subhasubham
nabhinandati na dvesti
tasya prajna pratisthita
He who without any emotion for achieving any good or any bad is firmly fixed in perfect knowledge.
There may come ups and downs in the material world. One who is only concerned about Krsna does not have and sense of good or bad. Such a Krsna consciousness position of a person called, technically, samadhi.
